Food Drive Results!

Thanks to the generosity of our Meadowhills Estates residents, we were able to donate over 400 pounds of food and other products to CARES of Farmington Hills!

Thank you to all who were able to donate! Your generosity helps provide food security for local families in need. And a huge thank you to our local residents who organized the food drive, coordinated collection, and hauled all 400 pounds of goods to the drop off center! You rock!

Board Volunteers Needed!

We need volunteers to keep our HOA board running and costs low in our community!

Currently the main positions we need to fill are the President and Vice President roles.

Additionally, we could really use some more volunteers on the social, beautification, and welcoming committees!

If you are interested in volunteering your skills in any capacity to help improve our community here in Meadowhills Estates, please contact meadowhillsMEHA@gmail.com and let us know! We highly value all of the efforts of our volunteers, whether they serve for a few hours working on a specific project or for several years on the board: all of the efforts of our individual community members past and present are what keep our neighborhood a great place to live.

Playground Improvements

Hopefully you’ve had the chance to notice the recent improvements to our playgrounds!

Newly installed swing seats and hardware

A total of 137 cubic yards of mulch were added around the swing sets and slides to improve safety for our neighborhood kids (that’s a whole LOT of mulch!).

With all of that new mulch, the swing heights were thrown off, so we took the opportunity to order and install new seats, chains, and miscellaneous hardware. This was all done thanks to the hard work of neighborhood volunteers – and on the swing installations, it was definitely WORK!!!

A huge, huge thank you goes out to:

-Greg & Jill Hemingway for hunting down the correct hardware and tools, ordering them all, organizing a team of volunteers, managing the installation process, and tracking down the mulch vendor that was able to accommodate our needs!

-Randy Shul, our very own resident strong man, who did the bulk of the heavy hitting with the s-hooks to install the new swings. That was a really, really tough job and we appreciate you!

-Tommy Dietz for assisting with chain cutting & s-hook installations after being not-so-voluntarily volunteered for another HOA project (he also helped weed and tidy up the 9 Mile entrance recently). Tom kindly tested out the new swings, and according to him, they are up to par and ready for our local children to safely enjoy!

Volunteers Needed!

We have several board members stepping down this year to focus on other endeavors, and we need your help!!!

If you are willing and able to volunteer some of your time over the coming year in any capacity – big or small – please reach out to mehasecretary48167@gmail.com to talk about the different opportunities available! Every volunteer really helps, whether it’s a recurring role, like Vice President or Secretary, or helping with a single event throughout the year, like the end of year ice cream truck or Spring cleanup of the front entrances. Generally, the time commitment for board members is low, and it’s a great way to meet your neighbors and get involved in your community!

We need as many volunteers as possible to keep dues low and manageable for our residents!

Approval Process for Exterior Changes: What You Need to Know

Just a reminder: all exterior changes must be submitted for approval before work can begin. The architectural change form can be submitted via email to meadowhillsmeha@gmail.com or brought to the next board meeting (Thursday April 10th @ 7:30 PM).

Please read the MEHA bylaws for more information, or reach out to the board for clarification on specific concerns.

The vast majority of exterior changes are approved quickly and without issue so that you can move ahead with property repairs and improvements. Typically, at most, minor adjustments are required to stay in line with the subdivision bylaws. However, exterior changes made without prior approval that do no fall in line with the bylaws will need to be removed at the owner’s expense. Save yourself from a costly mistake and submit your changes for approval first!
